Carta abierta a Capcom: Solicitamos doblaje en Español Latino para Resident Evil 4 Remake


Como ya hicimos exitosamente con Pokémon, esta vez el equipo de ANMTV apoyará otra solicitud de nuestros lectores. Todos los detalles a continuación.


Y es que recientemente Capcom anunció que el conocido Resident Evil 4 recibirá un remake que saldrá a la venta el 23 de marzo de 2023.


Como todos saben, el último videojuego, Resident Evil Village, no contó con doblaje en Español Latino, recibiendo únicamente la versión de España. Sin embargo, algo que no muchos saben que es aquel juego SÍ contó con doblaje al portugués brasileño.



Es por esta razón que el equipo de ANMTV decidió publicar una carta abierta a Capcom para solicitar doblaje en Español Latinoamericano para el futuro Resident Evil 4 Remake.


Les presentamos la carta (en inglés) a continuación:


Dear Capcom,

We are writing you from ANMTV, one of the most recognized anime and video games sites in Latin America. We have a request from our readers who are your gamers.


We really appreciate that Capcom does regional localization into Brazilian Portuguese since Resident Evil Village. This is something very important for us and we really appreciate it as players.


There is one exception, though: the Latin American Spanish language, which is a huge market with more than 400 million people in 20 countries.


Currently, we only receive the European Spanish translation from Spain, which is incredibly different from Latin American Spanish. There are idioms and phrases in Resident Evil and other Capcom's games that players in Latin America wouldn't understand.


What makes this more frustrating is that other entertainment companies give their video games Latin American Spanish localizations but Capcom still doesn't.


We want to explain to you that the translation and dubbing into European Spanish done in Spain is NOT suitable for Latin America, losing a huge amount of potential buyers. For more than 10 years other companies have been translating and dubbing their video games into Latin American Spanish with excellent benefits. 


For these reasons, We urge Capcom to include Latin American Spanish dubbing for the Resident Evil 4 remake, since this is the best chance to offer even more new features! Of course, we hope you can consider the Latin American Spanish language for other Capcom's upcoming video games too!


We have no doubt that a localization for the Latin American market will increase Resident Evil's popularity and sales of video games and merchandising of Capcom's products in the region.


We hope you can consider this request from all the Latino gamers. We would also appreciate a response to pass on to our readers and players of our website from all over Latin America (20 countries).
